We were therefore buried with HIm through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. Romans 6:4 NIV
What is Baptism?
Baptism is a voluntary profession of faith in Christ, by an immersion in water, in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:41, 8:37-38, Gal. 3:27
The water of baptism represents the cleansing from sin already wrought by the Holy Spirit. Acts 22:16, 1 Peter 3:21
Full immersion represents the burial in water and the being raised therefor represents that the believer has died to sin and has risen to a new life in Christ. Rom. 6:4, Col 2:12
Everyone should be baptized who has with his heart received Christ as his only Savior and Lord. Mark 16:16, Acts 2:41, 8:37
